The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands

The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands
By: Dr. Laura Schlessinger

I hadn't finished this book and it got stuffed into a box  from the move and I couldn't find it. we;; guess what. I FOUND IT! :) and I only had 2 chapters left before I finished it so I finally just cracked it open and finished it.

EVERY Woman in ANY relationship NEEDS this book!!!! ESPECIALLY if you are married!!!!

I LOVED this book. Not only did I read this book but my husband and I talked about it as I read it. he loves it too. :) I agree almost 100% with Dr. Laura and I can see why 97% of divorces is because of the woman. Sorry ladies but YES I agree with her. I learned so much about not only relationships the difference between a healthy one and an unhealthy one. But I learned a lot about men and how so unalike men and women are. Even though we as woman would like to think that they are a lot like us. They aren't. Their needs and completely different from ours. But still have similarities. For example, We want to be loved and respected so do the. Guys want to be our big strong protecting men. So they need their egos stroked. They need to be reminded that they are needed and loved. They don't like being called names, or nagged at or villanized. There are some of my family and friends who do this to their husbands.
Seriously read this book! Give it as a wedding gift. I think this book coupled with the 5 love languages is a must have in every married persons home.

Choke By: Obert Skye

I really enjoyed the first book in this trilogy (Pillage). This one was a little harder to get through because it seemed very slow moving. In fact I have been reading a chapter here and there for quite some time now. But last night I finally finished it. and like true Obert Skye fashion that last few chapters had a lot of action and twists that kept me reading to find out what happened next. Here's a book description from Amazon. com...

"Choke, the second, continues the eccentric adventures of Beck Phillips, who seems to have a knack for causing mischief in the secluded village of Kingsplot. In book one, Beck used his unique gift to unexpectedly hatch several dragon eggs. Thankfully, the dragons were destroyed . . . or were they? In Choke, a stranger has discovered that Beck Phillips is the key to finding and hatching a lost dragon s egg a task that will bring the riches and fortune that Beck s family was destined to have. Beck learns that outward appearances can be deceiving and that grown-ups really do have valuable lessons to offer. Readers will laugh out loud at Beck s antics and sit on the edge of their seats while Beck and his friends confront Liz, the largest, most ferocious dragon Beck has ever seen!"

It's a fun book that I think any young reader would enjoy. The next and last book in this trilogy or pillogy as Obert Skye likes to call it. Is called Ambushed. I will probably read it cause I hate having a series unfinished but it may be awhile.

Mockingjay

Mockingjay By: Suzanne Collins

I really enjoyed reading this series again. I was able to catch a lot of things I missed the first time since the first time I read it so fast. I took my time as I read through the series the second time. I will admit that I do still feel like I am hanging a little at the end of this book. But I do really love this series. And I will keep recommending it to anyone who hasn't read it. :) Now it's time to move on to books that are on my "to be read" list.

Catching Fire

Catching Fire By Suzanne Collins

Once again I have already read this series. But I wanted to read it again for the same reasons as the hunger games (my last post). It was nice to know what was going on and to see all the little things that make even more sense now the second time through. I love when you re-read books and catch things that you didn't notice at first. It  sort of makes the story new again. This is a great series and if you haven't read it yet you are definitely missing out. I haven't seen the movie (the hunger games) yet but I heard it's good.

Hunger Games

The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins

I know I've read this and that I have posted it before. But with our recent move, my unemployment and with all the hype from the movies. I needed to read something familiar that I could just enjoy the story. My niece recommended this book to me last year. It takes me a long time to get through a book. I'm reading one that I've been working on since Dec. Pride and Prejudice took me closed to 4 years to finish. I was able to finish this series in 1 month. Which is VERY fast for me. Since then I have recommended this book to at least 6 people if not more. I am looking forward to finishing the rest of the series for the 2nd time.
